Chapter 2 Unexpected appearence
Shimmering blue eyes were piercing into Abbondios as though they were searching his very soul, eyes that had seen many years and ordeals but still shone as bright as on a moonlit night. The man himself looked as though he were in his early twenties, he carried a variety of weapons and armour that would put any soldier to shame. His attire was tight fighting but light, his swords sheath on his left leg, waiting for its master to return home, and another on his right, eager to get a taste for the mans blood, all of his other equipment was hidden underneath his coat, a black leather that concealed and protected his body. He seemed to emit some sort of presence as though the crowd could see magic flowing from him.
M..Matíre!?
Long time no see, aint that right Mayor? Matíre smiled, revealing brilliant white teeth, that looked as though they were strangely sharper than usual.
You cant be here! I...I...
You killed me? Is that what you are trying to say, hmmm? Well let me give you some advice when you leave someone wounded in a forest make sure they are dead first.
But that was forty years ago!! The Mayor now shivering had fear clearly set in his eyes.
The public was awe struck at the sudden appearance of such an ambiguous character, Did e jus say fort year, but that chap dun look a day ove tweny.
You should be at least fifty if not sixty years old!
Lets just say that the years have been kinder to me than you Matíre surveyed the mayor, he had grown into an old man the years of strain clearly showing in the wrinkles on his forehead, years of scowling had created lines that criss crossed the mans face like a spiders web.
You worthless Cur! The Mayor took a swing at Matíre.
You know, it would work alot better if you could hit me Matíre sniggered from behind Abbondio.
What in Gods name!?
The public had seen it all, how the Mayor thrust his sword in the direction of the stranger, and how Matíre had moved like lightning dodging the attack with ease.
